Contribution of learning with analogies to the modeling thought of science students
Abstract
In this paper the role of models in both science and science education, is revised, remarking their central role in the construction process of scientifc Knowledge. Later, the nature and function of the analogies in science education, are analyzed. Finally, in order to improve procedural Knowledge, attitudes and epistemologic commitments related to modeling processes, the use of analogies is also pointed out. From this point of view, the analogies could contribute to developing the modeling thought of the students.Keywords
