Abstract

1332 learning activities and 227 assessment directed to study of the human nutrition to know the key ideas taught and evaluated by 10 Spanish and 10 Portuguese teachers from 5th/6th grade Primary Education. We use analytical dossiers based on school science that serve the concept of nutrition, the systems involved, healthy eating and the relationship between feeding/nutrition and the environment. The analysis of results establishes levels of adequacy and teacher profiles. Spanish teachers mainly teach key ideas associated with the organs/systems and the Portuguese approach the concept of nutrition at the cellular level. In general, teachers evaluate less aspects than those that teach. About the teaching profiles, the Spanish teachers are in a medium-low and the Portuguese in a high-medium. Finally, didactic recommendations derived from the results are proposed.
