Abstract
Fostering the acquisition of essential capabilities and skills in students to be responsible citizens, require that science teachers tend to use innovative methodological strategies. In this paper we have investigated in pre-service science teachers disposition to incorporate them into their teaching. To do this, we designed and applied a questionnaire, that was conformed for closed and open questions, in which 30 students of the Master of Teaching Secondary School participated, in the academic course 2011/12. The results reveal four trends, being localized the most participants in the trend characterized by giving little space to the innovative activities that allow students to take a principal role in their own learning. Keywords
