The role of time in a modeling process that uses videos of physics experiments
Abstract
This paper investigates the role of time in a modeling process that aims to favour the construction of mathematical knowledge in university students. That process shows the functionality of graphics to describe a physical phenomenon by using the track moving objects technology. This research uses a socioepistemological approach to analyze the practices of modeling-graphing by Mathematics majoring freshmen facing the study of projectile’s motion in a Chilean university.
