Two-variable functions: analysis from the point of view of a dialogue between APOS theory and ATD
Abstract
This paper presents an application of the contributions from the dialogue between APOS theory and ATD considered as research praxeologies. A problem related to the learning of functions of two variables is used to show how tools resulting from the dialogue starting from the theoretical and technological components can be applied. After the description of the research work that led to the design of a genetic decomposition, the research problem is reformulated to make the dialogue possible. Results show the pertinence and institutional viability of the activities in the classroom. Keywords
