Abstract

In this article we present some partial results of a wider investigation developed in the environment of the beginner secondary teacher formation. In short, we describe and we analyze the teaching characteristics of a beginner teacher group in the specialities of Physics and Chemistry, Biology, Geology and Mathematics on the beginning of a period of formation. The information obtained informs us about the role that they grant the students, the context, the contents and the activities in their educational practice, showing a traditional structure dominated by the masterful lesson and the application exercises. From its analysis we defend the importance of considering the ideas and the practice of teachers as a referent to the design and development of instructional activities.
