«Signing» together: Conversations on matter transformation
Abstract
This paper reports findings from a group interwiew study of how deaf pupils reason about phenomena related to transformation of matter. The results show that deaf students use similar models to those described in hearing students. The fact of «signing» together during the group interviews generated the progression in models.
