Abstract

This paper reports a research on the production of doctoral theses ( Ph, D, ) on Maths education in Spanish Universities from 1976 to 1998. A scientimetric and conceptual study was carried out in order to detect standards, trends and topic areas with a high research activity. Finally, the study confirms the consolidation of the area of Maths education as a scientific discipline in the Spanish research context.
