Abstract
Starting with a review of some typical pieces of research related to students' reasonings in Physics, this paper tries to fix some aspects of the evolution of the researchers' concerns in this field and to introduce a critical reflection on how the results obtained could be used. The selected examples and reflections on them refer to the beginning of college education, though not exclusively.Published
