Primeros pasos en Química. Una entrevista con Lavoisier

Abstract

Some didactic experiments which are presented to students are based on those carried out by the scientists who worked on the topic. Yet, continuous repetition of those in textbooks often distorts the original ideas. This paper, written as a hypothetícal interview with Lavoisier, uses his very words to criticise an experiment on combustion usually found in textbooks.
