Abstract

This paper presents an investigation about the evolution of the cognitive structure of 458 students, during their years in school, in reference to the concept of angle.

We have used the technique of the Pathfinder Associative Networks, that provides us graphic representations of the relationship between the concepts employed during the process of learning and teaching of this concept. Results have showed how the pupil's cognitive structure evolved and what were the most relevant concepts for them.

We present also, on the basis of the results, some conclusions for educational practice and investigation.
