Ciencia y cientificidad en la televisión educativa
Abstract
This paper describes a study aimed at identifying how the idea of «science and scientific knowledge» is symbolically constructed through the audiovisual language used in the Mexican telesecondary system. The main meanings and trends used in the broadcast’s linguistic (oral and written) and visual (static and dynamic) languages are analyzed. The study shows how these symbolic constructions are social representations whose sense is yielded by the prevailing idea of «science and scientific knowledge» in the school community.
