The value of metaevaluation of conceptual changes in teaching for understanding. A didactic experience
Abstract
This work deals with different aspects within the conceptual frame of teaching for understanding. One of them is the consideration of university students’ previous knowledge, proposing the expression of their own representations, taking real life situations as a starting point.
Another aspect is the use of mind maps as a metaevaluation tool to express the conceptual changes achieved after dealing with the contents, within a shared context.
This work is developed in the Morphology class when we approach the generative topic «relationship», for the study of the human organism.
The evaluation results got during the two stages of this process, together with students’opinions, let us infer the achievement of significant conceptual changes.
